Design Aesthetics 8/3/2017 - Wednesday

I had overslept today, so I decided to join second class, haha ~ Well, today we had learn about Affect States. There is 3 levels of Affect States which is Reflective , Behavioral and Visceral. 

First, Visceral Design makes rapid judgments of what is good or bad,safe or dangerous, and sends appropriate signals to the muscles (the motor system) and alerts the rest of the brain. (Requires the skills of the visual and graphic artist and the industrial engineer. Is all about immediate emotional impact ).

Second, Behavior Design. The site of most human behavior. Its actions can be enhanced or inhibited by the reflective layer and, in turn, it can enhance or inhibit the visceral layer. ( Human-centered, focusing upon understanding and satisfying the needs of the actual users )

Third, Reflective Design means thought does not have direct access either to sensory input or to the control of behaviour.it watch over, reflect upon, and tries to bias the behavioural level.

Beside that, Dr.Tan had discuss with us how to learn new language in new language in a short time. Some of my classmate said singing, reading, watching movie (with subtitle) and others. Dr.Tan said singing is not a good way to learn a new language because you might know how to sing but you don't really understand what it's mean. He also said base on his experience, the power of love can makes someone learn a new language in a short time if you fall in love with someone who speak a different language with you because you wanna communicate with him or she. Hmmm...maybe.

After that, Dr.Tan had should us a video which is a male can sang with treble. So Dr.Tan had recommended us a book call "男根文化史". He also show another video by 黄子华, a hong kong celebrity who had giving a talk/speak . There is a similar speak in malay with is "Hari Iskanda".
